The South Wake Sabres and the Providence Athletic Club Panthers will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
South Wake's tournament run continued when they took on Cumberland Christian Home Educators on Wednesday. South Wake was the clear victors by a 75-51 margin over Cumberland Christian Home Educators. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 20 points or more this season.

South Wake can attribute much of their success to Thomas Williams, who shot 60% from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points, and Noah Wright, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 15 points along with seven boards and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, Williams now owns an excellent 46% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Webb, who posted eight points.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: South Wake was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cumberland Christian Home Educators only eight assists.
Meanwhile, Providence Athletic Club didn't have too much trouble with Summit Christian Academy on Wednesday as they won 67-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Providence Athletic Club's win came from a few key players South Wake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Tyler, who earned 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals gave him a new career-high. Mark Lara was another key player, going 7-for-16 en route to 19 points and four steals.
Providence Athletic Club now has a winning record of 15-14. As for South Wake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's game: South Wake has been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 35% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Providence Athletic Club, though, as they've only made 26.8% of their three-pointers this season. Given South Wake's sizable advantage in that area, Providence Athletic Club will need to find a way to close that gap.
