The Plainfield Quakers will be playing at home against the Mooresville Pioneers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Plainfield will be strutting in after a  win while Mooresville will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Plainfield gave up the first  points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They strolled past Harrison with  points to spare, taking the game  24-9. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Quakers.
  Luke Starnes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 256 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.  Westyn Weyrich handled things on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.
 Plainfield's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Ty White,  Greyson Hardin, and  Carson Cole picked up one apiece. Cole also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging   an  interception. Plainfield got some further help from  Tyler Simek: he picked up  two  sacks, made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended a pass.
 Plainfield was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 338  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrison only rushed for 104.
 Meanwhile, Mooresville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Friday as they fell  36-32 to Terre Haute North Vigo.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Connor Cruz, who threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns.  Tyler Denny was  Cruz's top target, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 Plainfield's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0. As for Mooresville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Plainfield strolled past Mooresville when the teams last played  back in September of 2023 by a score of  31-15. Will Plainfield repeat their success,  or does  Mooresville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
