The biggest upset of the week belonged to Prestonwood Christian, who took down 51st ranked Prestonwood Christian, 33-21. Miles Murray in the win.
Bishop Dunne moved up to 567 from 604 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in TAPPS Division I District 1. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of beating John Paul II 50-30.
Trinity Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Daniel Davidson threw for 334 and three touchdowns and Tanner Snow had 176 yards receiving. On the ground Nahshon Ellerbe chipped in 109 yards. Ellerbe helped Trinity Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 62 yards.
The Trojans' Davidson and Brock Thomas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Davidson has thrown for 2776 yards this season, while Thomas, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 45 catches for 768 yards. Grayson Warren from the Lions leads the league in rushing with 1158 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bishop Lynch takes on Prestonwood Christian. At the moment, the Friars are in fifth, while Chris Cunningham's team is in first.
Nolan Catholic extended the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division I District 1 this week by beating the Lions, 33-21. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
