It was another big night for Adam Dunphy, who scored 18 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Douglas' points. Colton Howard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Despite the loss, Whitinsville Christian still got an impressive performance from Caleb Deters, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Deters' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cam Desmarais, who scored seven points.
Douglas' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Whitinsville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Douglas' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hopedale at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Hopedale is ranked 183rd, while Douglas is ranked 165th). As for Whitinsville Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Sutton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sutton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
