Dedham had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 6-8-1 to make it four. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwood Mustangs. The Marauders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 7-6.
Dedham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joslyn Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Emmy Lange was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
As for Norwood, the win got them back to even at 5-5. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
On Norwood's side, Pauline Cordani spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Maureen Larkee was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilianna Cordani, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.
