St. Louis has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 77-35 victory over Moanalua on the road. St. Louis' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Buena scored an imposing 62 points on Thursday, Chaminade still came out on top. The stars were shining brightly for Chaminade in a 76-62 victory over Buena. Given Chaminade's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Buena is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chaminade relied on the efforts of Jonas Thurman, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds, and Bryce Goldman, who scored 37 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Goldman's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chris Cordero, who scored eight points.
St. Louis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Chaminade, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.
