The Florence Huskies suffered their biggest  loss yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 65-45 walloping at the hands of Salida. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss Florence has suffered  against Salida since January 30, 2018.
 Despite the  defeat, Florence had strong showings from  Gage Goodall, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 12  rebounds, and  Gunnar Phillips, who  scored ten points along with nine  rebounds and five  assists. Goodall has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Garrett Royer, who  scored six points along with five  rebounds.
 Leading Salida to victory were  Kason Westphal and  Ryan Osness.  Westphal  scored 23 points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals, while  Osness  scored 20 points along with nine  rebounds and seven  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Westphal has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Daniel Edgington, who  scored seven points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Florence bumped their record down to 4-6 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Salida, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
 Florence will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against The Vanguard School at 7:00  p.m. The Vanguard School will be coming into the  matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Salida, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Rye at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Rye focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
