The Saints Academy Lions lost against the Bridge to Independence Wildcats back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Saints Academy suffered a rough 58-34 loss at the hands of Bridge to Independence. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Saints Academy has scored all season.
Bridge to Independence's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jeantinord is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brock D'Alessandro, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Saints Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bridge to Independence, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saints Academy will challenge BOLCA Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridge to Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hope Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
