Hondo has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Natalia Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
Hondo suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Lytle, falling 69-39. Hondo has not had much luck with Lytle recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Natalia posted their biggest victory since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Dilley 54-24 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Natalia.
Yahdi Lujan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five steals. Lujan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jordyn Rymers was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Hondo's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8. As for Natalia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17.
Everything came up roses for Hondo against Natalia in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 58-25 win. Will Hondo repeat their success, or does Natalia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
