The North Olmsted Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Normandy Invaders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Olmsted will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
North Olmsted came out on top against Valley Forge on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Eagles took their game against the Patriots 12-9. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

Elena Scott made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Scott was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Layla Salameh was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Outrich, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
North Olmsted kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Normandy was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Buckeye, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Invaders in their meetings with the Bucks: they've now lost three in a row.
Riley Sebera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
North Olmsted's record is now 4-7. As for Normandy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Everything went North Olmsted's way against Normandy in their previous matchup on April 4th, as North Olmsted made off with a 15-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
