The Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy Ravens had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 67-57 win over Troy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Troy still got an impressive performance from Jack Hartman, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Hartman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Geiger, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Atchison County on January 30th. Troy on the road again on Friday and play against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Washington County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
