South Jones won the last time they faced Brookhaven and things went their way  on Friday too. The Braves were the clear victors by  a  14-2 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Braves have won nine matches by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

 On the hitting side,  Dylan Causey was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  stolen bases. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cambridge McDaniel, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 South Jones  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .590. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  victory made it two in a row for South Jones and  bumps their season record up to 15-6. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2  run in those games. As for Brookhaven, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Jones will  square off against  rival North Pike  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brookhaven is set to  take on  their familiar foe Natchez  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
