The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Lakehill Prep by a score of 68-60. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Yavneh Academy considering their one-point performance the match before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yavneh Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joe Schwartz, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Rael, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
Preston Corder and Drew Perry certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Corder scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Perry scored 19 points. Perry hasn't dropped below 15 points for 16 straight games. Jordan Vicente was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Yavneh Academy pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Lakehill Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
