Center Place has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Christian Learning Center Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Center Place will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 358th in Missouri, while Christian Learning Center is ranked 62nd in Kansas).
Center Place's 17-2 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Plaza Heights Christian Academy 33-27.
Meanwhile, Christian Learning Center put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 45-35 victory over Clinton Christian Academy.
Christian Learning Center's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Callie Trezona, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Rylie Allen, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Allen hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Holly Cain was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Center Place bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Christian Learning Center, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
Center Place was dealt a bruising 53-19 defeat at the hands of Christian Learning Center when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Center Place was down 30-7.
