The Rocky Bayou Christian Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Laurel Hill Hoboes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Laurel Hill will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Rocky Bayou Christian extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. Everything went the Knights' way against L.E.A.D. Academy as they made off with a 19-3 win.

Skyler Dill-Langley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Dill-Langley was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Ellie Olson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Krystal Mercer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.
Rocky Bayou Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four strikeouts batters in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Laurel Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Poplar Springs on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-8 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hoboes in their matchups with the Atomics: they've now won three in a row.
Like Rocky Bayou Christian, Laurel Hill also got a great game from a two-way player: Savannah Riley. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, Riley posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Andrea Barnhill was incredible, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kyndall Morrill also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Rocky Bayou Christian pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Laurel Hill, their record now sits at 4-6.
Laurel Hill's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rocky Bayou Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Laurel Hill, though, as they've only averaged .195. Will they be able to contain Rocky Bayou Christian's hitters?
Rocky Bayou Christian took their victory against Laurel Hill in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
