On Monday, Friendship Collegiate Academy beat DC International 48-40. That 48-40 margin sets a new team best for Friendship Collegiate Academy this season.
Friendship Collegiate Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Williams, who scored eight points along with four steals. Williams is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Joseph, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Coolidge faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Coolidge walked away with a 73-60 victory over Dunbar on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for Coolidge as they're now sitting on four straight.
Makiah Gray and Quintin Cooper were among the main playmakers for Coolidge as the former dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds and the latter scored 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Cooper has scored at least 25% of Coolidge's points. Eric Turner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Friendship Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Coolidge, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
