It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Troy Warriors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against Fullerton by a score of 67-54. Given Troy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Fullerton is ranked 559th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Fullerton still got an impressive performance from Saint Martinez, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Isaiah Edwards was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Troy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Fullerton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
Troy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against La Habra at 7:00 p.m. La Habra is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Fullerton, they will head out on the road to take on Sunny Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sunny Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
