The Stanton Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Eagle's View Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Stanton will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Raines on Wednesday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Vikings. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hayden Foster made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stanton is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-10 otherwise. Foster was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jhai Mosley was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Stanton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of William Spellman, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Stanton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Eagle's View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Ridgeview.
Eagle's View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Montgomery, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Eagle's View's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Stanton, their record is now 9-10.
Eagle's View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stanton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Eagle's View, though, as they've only averaged .219. Will they be able to contain Stanton's hitters?
Stanton came out on top in a nail-biter against Eagle's View in their previous meeting back in March of 2020, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
