This season hasn't been kind to the Valley View Tigers, who are still winless after their 16th game. They had to suffer through a rough 50-16 loss at the hands of Sharyland. Valley View has not had much luck with Sharyland recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Mariajose Campos, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Ames, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Valley View's defeat was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Sharyland, their win bumped their record up to 7-20.
Valley View will head out on the road to square off against McAllen Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McAllen Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Sharyland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rowe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowe presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sharyland in Texas (Rowe is ranked 424th, while Sharyland is ranked 1143rd).
