Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Davidson). They blew past the West Davidson Dragons 69-44 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted since January 10th.

Central Davidson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raegan McCarn, who went 6 of 13 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most boards McCarn has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Hulsizer, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards.

Central Davidson was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Central Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for West Davidson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Central Davidson and West Davidson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Central Davidson (ranked 233rd) will meet Ledford (ranked 83rd) at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, West Davidson (ranked 376th) will meet Robinson (ranked 170th) at 3:00 p.m. on December 26th.
