Grapevine is 9-1 against Lake Dallas since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Grapevine Mustangs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Lake Dallas Falcons at 7:00  p.m. Grapevine will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 501st, while Lake Dallas is ranked 220th).
 Last Tuesday, Grapevine came up short against Ryan  and fell  58-47.
 Despite the  defeat, Grapevine saw an underclassman step up:  David Coe  scored 24 points. That was a full 51.1% of Grapevine's points, marking the third time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Blue Schaper, who  scored ten points along with two  steals.
 Lake Dallas posted their biggest  win since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Richland as Lake Dallas made off with a  63-42 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for Lake Dallas as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Lake Dallas, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
 Grapevine suffered a grim  79-59 defeat to Lake Dallas  when the teams last played  on January 2nd. Can Grapevine avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
