Orange has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the West Geauga Wolverines at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. Orange will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 626th, while West Geauga is ranked 111th).
Last Tuesday, Orange came up short against Midview and fell 36-27. Orange has not had much luck with Midview recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Luke Daberko, who scored four points along with ten rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Anekwe, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, West Geauga put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 53-48 W over Chagrin Falls.
Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Geauga, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Orange beat West Geauga 54-43 when the teams last played back in February. Does Orange have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Geauga turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
