The Sperry Pirates had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They suffered a tough 65-39 loss at the hands of Bristow. Sperry has struggled against Bristow recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bristow to victory, but perhaps none more so than ShaLyn Edmondson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. Addi Alexander was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 9 assists and 3 steals.
Sperry's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bristow, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Sperry will head out on the road to face off against Berryhill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bristow, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cushing at 6:00 p.m.
