Jorge Luna Delivers Best Performance of Season
United was led to victory by Jorge Luna, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Luna threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
The win (which was United's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Luna will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Eagle Pass on Friday.

Hector Benavides continued his hot streak on Saturday by dropping his 15th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least five total tackles. He made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged two interceptions.
The victory got Alexander back to even at 4-4. They and Laredo LBJ will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Xavier Gonzalez Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Medina Valley had to settle for second even though Xavier Gonzalez put up the best numbers he has all season. Gonzalez rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
With the defeat, Medina Valley broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. Gonzalez and Medina Valley will welcome United South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
