The Dwight-Englewood Bulldogs will head out to take on the Mahwah Thunderbirds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dwight-Englewood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Dwight-Englewood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over Tenafly on Thursday. The Bulldogs have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Jason Lee looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Matthew Civan was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Noah Fisher also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Dwight-Englewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .644. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mahwah was able to grind out a solid win over River Dell on Tuesday, taking the game 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.
Steve Mariani looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mahwah got a massive performance out of Alex Luchynskyi, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Buonanno, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Dwight-Englewood's record is now 7-3. As for Mahwah, their record now sits at 6-4.
Dwight-Englewood took their victory against Mahwah in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
