The Holbrook Roadrunners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over Blue Ridge. The victory was all the more spectacular given Holbrook's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Blue Ridge is ranked 24th).
Holbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noheah Aberle led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Raelle Yazzie was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Holbrook pushed their record up to 8-16 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.
Holbrook will head out on the road to challenge Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Show Low will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Blue Ridge, Blue Ridge and Miami will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Miami is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
