Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Noxapater Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Sacred Heart 36-8 on Friday. Noxapater has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kaden Carter threw for 92 yards on 12 of 21 attempts. JyKavius Riddle was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Aj Robertson rushed for 74 yards.
Sacred Heart was led to victory by Kyron Murphy and Dj Booth. Murphy gained 200 total yards and two touchdowns, while Booth rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Booth hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. Gary Duckworth Jr. also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.
Noxapater's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sacred Heart, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
Noxapater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sacred Heart will take on Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Simmons is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
