Marshalltown had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Des Moines North 50-26. Marshalltown was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. This was the first game for both teams, giving Marshalltown a 1-0 record and starting Des Moines North off at 0-1.
Next week, Marshalltown take on Ottumwa at 7:00 PM. As for Des Moines North, they will face of against Des Moines East.
