Farber Hebrew Day had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkway Christian.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkway Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Montano, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six steals. That's the first time this season that Montano posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Harrison-lizbinski, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Farber Hebrew Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Parkway Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Farber Hebrew Day will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Austin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
