Softball Recap: Dana Hills Triumphs

Dana Hills saw some tournament action on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Los Altos Conquerors 5-4.

Riley Richardson was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Hailey Reed was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Dana Hills back to even at 5-5. As for Los Altos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Dana Hills will venture away from home to square off against Tesoro at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tesoro's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Dana Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Los Altos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fullerton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Los Altos 3.2, Fullerton 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
