Camden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Vernon-Verona-Sherrill likes a good challenge.
Camden pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 70-55 to Proctor. Camden was down 57-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill pushed their score all the way to 71 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Rome Free Academy on the road by a decisive 87-71 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (62), Vernon-Verona-Sherrill still had to take the loss.
Camden's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Camden was able to grind out a solid win over Vernon-Verona-Sherrill when the teams last played back in January, winning 59-51. Will Camden repeat their success, or does Vernon-Verona-Sherrill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
