The South Vermillion Wildcats will take on the North Vermillion Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Vermillion took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on South Vermillion, who comes in off a win.
South Vermillion had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 68-44 margin over Owen Valley.
Among those leading the charge was Luke Bush, who scored 21 points along with 8 steals. Brayson Shoults was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-37, which was the final score in North Vermillion's tilt against West Vigo on Saturday. North Vermillion has not had much luck with West Vigo recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
South Vermillion's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for North Vermillion, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
South Vermillion came up short against North Vermillion in their previous matchup back in February, falling 77-70. Can South Vermillion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
