The McKinley Tech Trainers won the last time they faced the Woodson Warriors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. McKinley Tech came out on top against Woodson by a score of 55-44.
DaMontae Neclos was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Dunbar, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
McKinley Tech has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Woodson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinley Tech will square off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinley Tech is coming into the match with five straight victories on the road, meaning Eastern will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Woodson, they will challenge Jackson-Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson-Reed will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Woodson surely won't give up without a fight.
