On Friday Elkins take on Waldron at 7:00 PM. Waldron will need to watch out since Elkins have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Elkins had enough points to win and then some against Huntsville last Friday, taking their game 38-20. Junior Quinn Mcclain was the offensive standout of the match for Elkins, as he rushed for 133 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, if Waldron were riding high off their 54-28 takedown of Paris two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Waldron took a hard 19-35 fall against Danville.
Elkins's win lifted them to 3-0 while Waldron's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if Elkins' success rolls on or if Waldron are able to steal their positive momentum.
