While Butler might've come up empty on Thursday, Kylee Dubray wasn't going down without a fight. Dubray turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out nine batters over eight innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Butler's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Dubray's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Bears' three-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Dubray and the Bears surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
