Basketball Recap: Isaiah Reed and Garin Holst Secure Win for Commission Leadership Academy

The Commission Leadership Academy Griffins didn't have too much trouble with the Bethesda Christian Academy Crusaders on Thursday as they won 67-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Griffins.

Leading Commission Leadership Academy to victory were Garin Holst and Isaiah Reed. Holst posted 17 points, while Reed put up 15 points. Holst has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Phillips, who had nine points.

Benjamin Johnson and Christopher Mims, Jr. certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Johnson scored 22 points, while Mims, Jr. earned 16 points.

Commission Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bethesda Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Commission Leadership Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Bethesda Christian Academy, they and Heritage Leadership Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Crusaders will be up against the Fletchers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
