Despite the loss, Covenant Academy had strong showings from Lucas Fisher, who scored 11 points, and Ryan Stevens, who scored 5 points along with 13 rebounds. Stevens is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academy for Classical Education to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryson Vincent , who scored 16 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylon Davis , who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Academy for Classical Education, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will take on First Presbyterian Day at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pike County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday.
