The Niceville Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Monday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They snuck past Choctawhatchee with a 44-40 win. That's another feather in the cap for Niceville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Niceville was led to victory by Anna Kimball and Carson Fayard. Kimball dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Fayard dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Kimball is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Kiyah Hatcher, who scored five points along with four steals.
Niceville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Choctawhatchee, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Niceville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mosley at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Mosley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Niceville is ranked 21st). Choctawhatchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
