The Lodi Blue Devils put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mauston 49-3 at home. The result was nothing new for Lodi, who have now won nine matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Mason Lane was on fire: he threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Puls, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Lodi's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.6 points per game. As for Mauston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.
Lodi will face off against West Salem at 0:00 a.m. on Friday. West Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Lodi is ranked 18th). Mauston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
