Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Johns Creek couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell  3-1 to the Pope Greyhounds on Wednesday. The Gladiators' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
 While Johns Creek ultimately came up short, they really made  Pope work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 19-25, 25-15,  28-19.
 Hana Catic paced Johns Creek's offense, picking up 18 kills. Catic got some help from  Adonia Haile and her 37 assists.
 Pope was led to victory by  Wynnie Abney and  Grayson O'Daniel.  Abney  had 16  digs and four  aces, while  O'Daniel  had six  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  O'Daniel has posted since back in September.
Johns Creek's loss dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Pope, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-8 record  this season.
 Johns Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pope, they will challenge Woodward Academy on Saturday.
