Notus extended their losing streak to 15 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-17. They lost 16-8 to the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-20 defeat on Tuesday.

Cierra Norris was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Ferrell, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
As for Horseshoe Bend, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Considering they have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
On Horseshoe Bend's side, Kimber Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. Jones was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Ember Moroney was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Trin Catherman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
As of now, neither Notus nor Horseshoe Bend have any future games scheduled.
