Softball Recap: Eastbrook Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Eastbrook, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Elwood get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. Eastbrook might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by eight runs or more this season.

Randy Casto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Casto was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Eastbrook got a massive performance out of Gracie Elliott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Mya Peterson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Eastbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Eastbrook's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Elwood, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastbrook will square off against Lewis Cass at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elwood, they will challenge Wabash at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
