Basketball Recap: Sebastian Garcia Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

There's no place like home for Adams City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over the Skyview Wolverines on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-38 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adams City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sebastian Garcia, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Garcia a new career-high. Elijah Vigil was another key player, putting up eight points.

Adams City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Skyview's loss came despite strong showings from Kenneth Sanchez and Gabriel Guevara. Sanchez posted nine points, while Guevara had six points along with five assists and four steals. Guevara is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played.

Adams City's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Skyview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adams City will welcome Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Skyview, they will host The Pinnacle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
