There's no place like home for Glades Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Pahokee Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Wednesday. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 13 runs or more this season.
Kristabella Flournah made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reilly Baltazar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Camdyn Carter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Glades Day's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Pahokee, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
