Purchase Line has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Cambria Heights Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Purchase Line got themselves on the board against Penns Manor, but Penns Manor never followed suit. They enjoyed a cozy 19-0 win over the Comets.
Brock Small got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. John Elick made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Northern Cambria typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Cambria Heights proved too difficult a challenge. Cambria Heights walked away with a 21-12 win over Northern Cambria. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cambria Heights.
Purchase Line has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Cambria Heights, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
Purchase Line was able to grind out a solid win over Cambria Heights in their previous meeting back in August, winning 19-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Purchase Line since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
