Wapahani is 1-9 against Frankton since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wapahani Raiders will be staying on the road to face off against the Frankton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Wapahani is ranked 105th, while Frankton is ranked 110th).
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wapahani beat Winchester Community 54-49.
Wapahani relied on the efforts of Emily Luce, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds, and Megan Luce, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Zoey Swallow was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Frankton struggled with assists on Friday (Eastbrook had 800% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Frankton ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-32 walloping at the hands of Eastbrook. Frankton has struggled against Eastbrook recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Emma Sperry, who scored 17 points. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Wapahani's win lifted them to 8-2 while Winchester Community's loss dropped them down to 2-7.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Wapahani have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Frankton struggles in that department as they've been even better at 26.4 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
