Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin lost to Gilmour Academy back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions had just enough and edged the Gilmour Academy Lancers out 59-57. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions who have now won six matches in a row.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Gilmour Academy, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Lutheran East at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lutheran East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Gilmour Academy, they will head out to take on McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. McKinley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Gilmour Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
