The Doctors Charter Hawks suffered their biggest defeat since November 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 50-21 defeat at the hands of Ransom Everglades. Doctors Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.
Ransom Everglades found their leader in underclassman Zeke Battier, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Battier has scored at least a third of Ransom Everglades' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorgie Gomez, who scored six points.
Doctors Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Ransom Everglades, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Doctors Charter will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against North Miami Beach at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully North Miami Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Monday. As for Ransom Everglades, they will head out on the road to take on Palmer Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
