Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is South Plainfield's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

There's no place like home for South Plainfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Roselle Rams by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2017.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Plainfield was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8.

Kyara Knight paced South Plainfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Knight got some help from Raika Stiglic and her 12 assists. Stiglic was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

South Plainfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Roselle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, South Plainfield will square off against Hillsborough at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Roselle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
