It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Orland Trojans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 73-68 W over San Lorenzo. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Orland was led to victory by Jayden Thompson and Zach Story. Thompson scored 27 points, while Story dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Story also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Bose, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Orland's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for San Lorenzo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Orland is on the road again on Thursday and play against Los Molinos at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for San Lorenzo, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mission San Jose at 7:00 p.m. Mission San Jose presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than San Lorenzo in California (Mission San Jose is ranked 375th, while San Lorenzo is ranked 824th).
